Grow fresh food. Share fresh food. Fresh For All is an initiative supported by various organizations to help contribute much-needed fresh vegetables and fruits to food banks and meal programs within Hastings and Prince Edward counties. The concept is simple: if you're planting a vegetable garden this summer, simply add an extra row or two that can be shared at harvest time.
Add a row to your vegetable garden, grow tomatoes in a container or sow some peas between your perennials.
At harvest time, pick your produce, collect what you would like to donate and remove the majority of the soil.
Deliver your donation to a participating community food program and let them know the food is for the Fresh For All project.
